Update Regarding Optical Services at our Commonwealth Clinic
We want to keep you informed of a temporary change at our office. Beginning March 15, our Optical Department will be temporarily closed while we work to expand and strengthen our team. This decision was made to ensure that when we provide optical services, they meet the high standards of care and service our patients expect and deserve.
Our doctors will continue seeing patients for comprehensive eye exams, medical and specialty eye care, and contact lens services as usual. Please email us if you need assistance with ordering contact lenses, accessing your prescription, or require recommendations for local optical providers, including the NECO Center for Eye Care in Roslindale, MA.
We are actively working to reopen optical services and will share updates as soon as possible. Thank you for your understanding and for trusting us with your eye care.

Our optometrists are at the forefront of the most recent advances in contact lens technology and are uniquely qualified to diagnose, prescribe, and custom-fit contact lenses.
VISION REHABILITATION DEVICES
Visual assistive equipment is available at our Commonwealth location. We invite you to make an appointment with our Low Vision team for an evaluation and review of available devices.

Can I order contact lenses online?
Yes, you can order contact lenses using our online retail store.
Do you offer a virtual try-on for eyeglass frames?
Yes! You can search our frame inventory using your mobile device or computer and try on as many pairs as you wish. You can even send us a list of your favorites so we can prepare for your in-person visit to our optical shop.
Do I need an appointment to see an optician at Commonwealth?
Yes. An appointment guarantees you a time that is most convenient for you. Please feel free to reach out to us to schedule an appointment.
Can I get my glasses the same day I come to the Commonwealth location?
It depends upon your optical needs, glasses prescription, and insurance provider. One of our opticians can answer any specific question you may have.
