Eye exams are a critical part of your healthcare, allowing our highly trained optometrists to assess your vision and eye health. NECO Center for Eye Care utilizes the latest examination technology to ensure our patients receive a comprehensive eye care experience. Optometrists also detect, diagnose, and develop a patient-centered management plan for various ocular and systemic conditions. Early detection and treatment are critical to maintain healthy vision and protect the eyes from the effects of potentially blinding diseases, such as glaucoma, diabetes, and high macular degeneration.
During your comprehensive examination, we will assess how efficiently and effectively your visual system operates on specific tasks. This includes evaluating your visual acuity, depth perception, and color vision. If a prescription for eyeglasses or contact lenses is needed, we will provide one that addresses your unique visual needs.
Primary eye care services include:
- Assessing the overall function of your visual system
- Providing you with a glasses and/or soft contact lenses prescription
- Examining the health of both eyes
- When necessary, complete diagnostic testing and imaging to screen for and detect eye disease
- Developing a management plan if any eye disease is detected
- Providing referrals for specialized eye care
- Communicating and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient-centered care

What comprehensive eye care services does NECO Center for Eye Care offer for adult patients?
We offer a full range of eye care services, including routine eye exams and contact lens fittings. At routine eye examinations, optometrists can identify and manage eye conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and cataracts.
Why are routine eye exams essential for adults?
Routine eye exams are essential for patients of all ages to maintain optimal eye health and vision. Regular exams allow optometrists to detect eye conditions early before symptoms appear, which can prevent vision loss and other complications. Additionally, routine eye exams can reveal underlying systemic health issues, such as hypertension (high blood pressure) or diabetes, that may manifest in the eyes first.
How does NECO Center for Eye Care diagnose and manage chronic eye diseases?
We manage eye conditions through a combination of advanced diagnostic techniques, patient-specific treatment plans, and ongoing monitoring. Depending on the severity of the ocular condition, we can also offer referral options to local ophthalmology specialists.
What options for contact lens wearers at NECO Center for Eye Care are available?
We offer a wide variety of contact lens options to meet our patients’ visual demands and lifestyles. Our comprehensive eye care service focuses on the fitting of soft contact lenses, including astigmatism lenses and multifocal lenses, allowing patients to have optimized vision at distance and near (reading).
